IJTIHAD KONTEMPORER; KONSEPSI, URGENSI DAN KRITIK TERHADAP ISU TERTUTUPNYA PINTU IJTIHAD

Abstrak

Today, Ijtihad is necessary. Along with the increasing flow of times, the stronger the drive to do ijtihad. The spirit of ijtihad has actually been revived by the jurists, Jalaluddin as-Suyuthi for example, he gave sharp criticism to those who always perpetuated taklid. He said "Nash was over and new problems always emerged continuously, so ijtihad was needed to solve it". This research is a literature study, which examines data relating to the theme by examining references related to the main study, especially those related to ijtihad. The analytical method used in this study is analysis of critical descriptive, which is to describe the object of discussion systematically and then analyze it using a critical paradigm. This paper comes to the conclusion that Ijtihad occupies a central position in Islam. The continuity of a shari'a is very dependent on it. The existence of ijtihad is always needed on every side of the life of the Ummah. However, what is important to contemplate is that ijtihad activities are activities that are very possible, even easy to do, but must go through a process that is correct and programmed, through a systematic mechanism.
