Abstract

Khataman al – Qur’an is one activities of reading al – Qur’an with the aim of completing the recitation of Qur’an according to predetermined. As developing of technology, reading the al – Qur’an can be done online such us whatsapp media. The khataman al – Qur’an activity by whatsapp in Tilawatil Qur'an group Zidna Nganjuk to analyze and interpret the meaning of khataman by WhatsApp starting from the implementation process and to find output the fadhilah of implementiation of khataman al- Qur'an by WhatsApp. This research used type of field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data such us interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that, of implementing the recitation of the Qur'an begins with the distribution of juz to each group member, either ODOJ or OWOJ, then the time limit is according to each group.  So, reciting the qur’an online is fine. As for the fadhilah of reciting the qur’an intended for individuals and does not apply to collectively or in congregation.
